General Concensus on Cadence quality?

Did a search but it mainly resulted in WTT type threads (not a good sign?)

Anyone want to comment on their quality? Considering I just ordered two for $50/each I am not expecting much, but would be interesting to hear opinions from owners.

I didn't vote in the poll. I don't own one personally, but I have seen a number of posts here from happy owners of both the quartz and miyota mechanical models.

Full disclosure, I've met the owner of Cadence watches. We both live in Philly. It was a few years ago, and before I was really into watches. He's a good guy with a product that seems good for the price (the price seems fair).

For $50, I think they're a pretty good deal.

Cheap and cheerful indeed! I like their vibe. I have remained on their mailing list but have yet to buy one because I already own too many. However, I know that daboryder has a bunch and seems to have good things to say. Maybe he'll pitch in. In any case, hard to go wrong for the money. The standard Ecomatic ticked many of my boxes, and was occasionally available for under $100, quite fair for a new Miyota-based auto.

I've owned one. At full retail they're a horrible value however, when on sale (got my ecomatic for $60) it's a good value. No complaints with regards to build quality, fit, or finish at that price range. I also eventually sold mine as well not because I had issues with it, rather the design was just a little too generic for me and I didn't wear it enough to justify keeping it.

I'll second (third?) R.Palace and NightOwl. At a steep discount they are a good value. I had an Ecomatic and found it to be incredibly versatile - it looked good on just about every strap I threw at it. It kept fine time and the build quality was maybe equivalent to Fossil or mid-range fashion brands (meaning Guess, Hugo Boss, Tommy Hilfiger, Nautica, etc). But I got bored with the Ecomatic pretty quickly. There just wasn't much "pizzazz" about it.

Here's my old one (sold to user S Wind):

Just got my watches. I have to say I'm really happy with my purchases. They were the Digby Clay and MFA White

Pros
Case quality. Feels solid. Materials are a nice finish that doesnt feel cheap.
Staps. A very soft leather.
Price. For $50 they are absoloute bargains.

Cons
Website. Shows a rendered version of the face, instead of a real photo. Which is misleading because the Clay watch does not actually have a textured face like the rendered picture suggests.
Straps. The leather texture doesnt do much for me.

Overall, even though I feel a little deceived about the Digby textureless face, I'm happy about my Cadence watches and would still recommend it to others!
