Dear colleagues,
A few months ago I bought this lathe to continue my apprenticeship.

The thing is that I need to make accessories and I can't find the thread pitch of the tooling.

Here I show you a piece and I would need to know which tap and diestock I have to buy to make my accessories.

If anyone has a manual for this lathe, I would appreciate if you want to share it.

Best regards.

I have seen the Lorch 6mm collet thread specced at 0.199" x 0.70mm, or 5.05m x 0.70mm. Schaublin 6mm collets are 5mm x 0.706mm, which is pretty spot-on 36 threads per inch. I have a feeling it's the same thread between the two, just different interpretations. I have a friend who has used Schaublin andn Lorch collets in his Lorch lathe without issue.

It is a pretty oddball size, but there are listings of new taps and dies on Ebay. From China; I bought a Chinese 8mm collet die a few years back and it works great, no idea if these are as good.

Thank you very much maillchort,
Honestly that's what I needed to read, a measure.
I am going to buy them immediately as this Christmas I will have time to practice.
As soon as I try it I will update the post.
Regards.

You can use a thread pitch gauge and a caliper to measure the diameter.
if its an odd size you may need to have a tap and die made.
I did this for my Levine lathe collets to make a collet block. Thread size turned out to be 0.275”- 40 TPI.

Good evening Bill M.,
Thanks for the comment, I have thread pitch gauge and caliper, but I stopped using it years ago and honestly didn't feel confident with the reading it was making.

Maillhort's comments have helped me search and if nothing happens on Wednesday I will be able to use them.
Regards.
